Terri Shumsky Fanny Mae Liver Shunt Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
All donations are tax-deductible.
The Fund is organized and will be operated exclusively for the following:
a). A group who will support and assist in facilitating the research being performed by the experts for all breeds to determine the DNA ID of this inherited disease so that breeders can make intelligent choices in breeding their dogs and culling affected dogs from their breeding.
b). A group who will provide a greater awareness of liver shunt, specifically as it relates to the Yorkshire Terrier breed through diligence in education.
c). A group who will provide support, guidance, information and direction to assist liver shunt and HMD/MVD victims.
